My old handphone, Nokia 8210 has been my faithful servant for 2++years. Compared to other polyphonic phones, mine is actually quite hard to spoil. Virtually indestructible, it has been dropped from slippery hands umpteenth times. Tears will flow when I dispose of it in December.
The same cannot be said for my laptop. Now in its 3rd year of service, it is beginning to show signs of wear. Frequent messages of "1782 Disk Controller System Error " will pop up, incurring the wrath of the owner, getting occasional slams on its keyboard. Technical help was not much useful. All they advised was to buy a new motherboard...ma de. Thought it would last for 5 years and was thinking of getting a new laser mouse to play CS more effectively. Now it is going to be donated to my younger sis. :(
